If they are doing business in the US, then they have to follow US laws also. The same goes for China, Israel, Panama, Kazakhstan and any and all countries. If you do business, or are located, in a different country than your home country, you must adhere to the laws of each individual country you are in. Some countries also have reciprocal agreements.

Thanks for the link. The info there is certainly was an eye opener. I never heard of those other VPNs that do not keep logs. None of them also offer a free trial like HMA. Looks like you can’t get everything #sigh

I had noticed this as well on my ios device. It seems that the problem, for me, is the type of vpn (pptp). I configured an Open VPN connection over SSL and that worked for me.

many free versions of the premium based services like hotspot shield are very slow and are ad based. for those who don’t care about speed, sure use one of the many horrible free based web versions.
